*The Real Estate Commission is currently considering increasing the Hawaii Broker course hours from 80 to 175 hours*

Please be aware that the Hawaii Real Estate Commission has recently surveyed all Hawaii real estate instructors regarding increasing the current 80 hour requirement for the Broker Course to 175 hours. 

If, and when that may happen is anyone's guess; however, we do know that the REC is doubling the Continuing Education hourly requirement effective 01/1/11.  

If the 80 hour requirement increases to 175 hours, not only will the hours more than double, but so will the Broker class tuition.

If you’ve been thinking of earning your Broker’s License,
now may be the time.

The Real Estate Commisison requires 80 hours for the Broker class.
 
NOTE: You DON'T need 3 years of experience to take this class. You
 WILL need 3 years experience before you are eligible to take the State Exam, 

HOWEVER: Once you pass this class, you'll receive the completion certificate
 you need in order to take the State Exam. 

The Broker's Class Completion Certificate issued by Akahi Real Estate Network 
upon completion of the Broker Course is valid for TWO YEARS from the date of issue. 

The Broker's Experience Certificate issued by the Real Estate Commission is ALSO valid
 for TWO YEARS from the date of issue.
